JOB TITLE: LUNCHTIME ASSISTANT
REPORTS TO: Headteacher
GRADE: Pay Band 1
SALARY: Pro-rata £21,029 (Full Time Equivalent), Fixed term contract
HOURS: 12-1pm Monday to Friday, 5 hours per week (term time only)
CLOSING DATE: Monday 13th October @ 12 noon
INTERVIEW DATE: Friday 17th October 2025
JOB PURPOSE:
We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and fun person to join our committed and hard working lunchtime team. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To actively promote the School’s Equal Opportunities Policy and observe the standard of conduct which prevents discrimination taking place

At the discretion of the Head Teacher, such other activities as may from time to time be agreed consistent with the nature of the job described above
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Supervising children or 1:1 supervision of a child in the lunch hall, outside on the playground or in their classrooms during wet breaks.
To be responsible for ensuring the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during lunchtime.
Playing games and talking to children to build strong relationships.
Ensuring you co-regulate children who are dysregulated.
Working with the children to Care, Inspire and Succeed
Ensuring the safety of all our children
Administering and recording minor First Aid
To adhere to our Ethos, Learning Values and policies
Qualities and experiences required:
Good communication skills
Ability to work as a team
A sense of fun
Experience with caring for young children
Hard working
Ability to show initiative
