The Director of School Operations will lead in delivering all administrative operations in the School to ensure the effective management of non-academic colleagues and resources, and to underpin the work of the Dean and Heads of Department in aligning the newly-created School to the University’s ambitious 2030 strategy.
Reporting to the Dean of School and acting as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of School Operations will work closely with colleagues across all University professional service teams to maximise performance and efficiency in support of School activities. The Director of School Operations ensures compliance in coordinating the accurate and timely transfer of Business School information (e.g. WAM allocations to the Dean of Academic Performance). This is a crucial role producing reports based on complex and diverse datasets to ensure informed decision making.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Higher Education environment, and the key metrics that underpin both School and student-based activity. The Director of School Operations will demonstrate high-level administrative and operational management skills, leading with an engaging and considerate approach and securing commitment and buy-in to achieve shared outcomes.
It is desirable that candidates can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Business-education organisations such as the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and/or CABS (Chartered Association of Business Schools).
