The role…

… is based at the two main locations in Lippstadt and Wennigsen, Germany.

In this role your assignment is to grow our sales business in a sustainable and profitable way together with the Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers and colleagues in the organization. With your knowledge, engagement and experience you will bring us to the next level in sales. This will connect customers for the long term to ASSA ABLOY. Our products and trends in industry - like connectivity- are strategic topics you like to work on and where you like to take the initiative. Of course, in your role you keep focus on sales performance of the organization. Monthly sales and market developments are followed closely, and improvement plans are made.

 

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Overall responsibility for sales activities with P&L responsibility for 2 Germany-wide sales organizations within nearly 50 sales employees.
  • Member of the management of the business area (Business Segment Industrial Germany) with direct reporting line to the Business Unit Manager BSI Germany.
  • Responsible for the implementation and further development of the sales strategy for the German market
  • Responsible for a strategical strong growth through acquisition of new projects – both in direct sales to manufacturing industrial companies and via partners (general contractors, planners, architects)
  • Ensuring effective market cultivation and leadership through targets, coaching and active support of customers with the team
  • Sales planning, introduction of new products in the market and design and optimization of sales processes
  • Trusting cooperation with national and international interfaces and reporting to the Business Unit Manager IDS in Germany

 

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Successfully completed studies in Business/Marketing or a comparable degree
  • A strong and diplomatic personality with several years of sales experience in the field of building technology, door technology, building services, construction supply industry or mechanical engineering combined with experience from driving structural changes and improvements
  • Experience in acting in a goal-oriented, motivating manner and with entrepreneurial vision
  • Knowledge of the sales levers in technical project business and know how to turn market opportunities into sales successes
  • Unrestricted willingness to travel throughout Germany and between the German locations
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, experience in leadership and employee development
  • Able to thrive in a demanding but collaborative international matrix environment
  • Experience in working in an international company / group
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English is mandatory
