POSITION OVERVIEW
dormakaba is seeking a first shift (6AM – 2:30PM) Facility Maintenance Technician based in Reamstown, PA. This role is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance and upkeeping on machinery, equipment, and facilities, including diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, replacing defective parts, and conducting regular inspections to ensure machine up-time, safety and compliance.
HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $20 - $29 plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on CNC machines, robotics, and industrial equipment
- Interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and electrical schematics to identify root causes of failure
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and update maintenance records using CMMS
- Calibrate and align machinery to ensure precision performance and minimize scrap
- Follow OSHA, NFPA, NEC and company-specific safety protocols during repairs and inspections
- Identify and report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately. Participate in immediate resolution to avoid safety issues
WHAT WE REQUIRE
- High School diploma and/or GED Certification
- 3+ years of hands-on experience maintaining CNC and industrial equipment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals
- Strong troubleshooting skills and logical problem-solving abilities
- Agile approach to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Regular use of hands and arms for tool handling and equipment operation
- Frequent standing, speaking, and hearing; occasional walking, climbing, stooping, and crawling
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Visual acuity requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
WHAT WE PREFER
- Technical certificate or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field
- Familiarity with CNC controls and automation systems
- Experience with CMMS platforms
