Repair Center Technician

Mission:

Analyze and repair Atlas Copco jointing system products at an Atlas Copco IAS Repair Center.  This position reports to the Repair Center Manager.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair equipment issues, often using diagnostic tools, technical manuals and schematic diagrams.
  • Inspect incoming products and evaluate for repairs.
  • Generate detailed repair quotes for customers and update the database.
  • Perform approved repairs and verify correct operation.
  • Perform QC verification of completed repairs.
  • Inspect warranty claims from customers.
  • May train other Atlas Copco personnel in the Repair Center
  • Other duties as required.

To succeed, you will need

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • May hold a certificate in a relevant field, such as tool repair or machine maintenance.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with troubleshooting/ resolving equipment issues.
  • Strong blueprint and technical reading skills required.
  • PC and MS Office proficient

 

Personality Requirements/Attributes and Behaviors:

  • Able to operate effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively in writing.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets.
  • Strong attention to detail is crucial.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

  • This role requires you to work on-site at our office in Arlington, Texas. You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
  • 5% domestic travel outside the Repair Center as required.
