Be our next ISA Certified Arborist
Your work environment at EXP
We are seeking a talented and motivated ISA Certified Arborist / Landscape Designer to join our team. This hybrid role combines arboricultural expertise with creative landscape design, supporting a variety of public and private sector projects including parks, streetscapes, infrastructure, and development planning.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Conduct tree inventories, health assessments, and risk evaluations in accordance with ISA standards.
- Prepare Arborist Reports, Tree Preservation Plans, and Tree Protection Specifications
Collaborate with landscape architects and planners to integrate tree protection and planting strategies into design. - Assist in the preparation of landscape design drawings, planting plans, and construction documents
Liaise with clients, municipalities, and contractors during design and construction phases
Support permit applications and compliance with municipal tree bylaws and policies
What your experience looks like
ISA Certified Arborist designation (active and in good standing).
Additional certifications (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification, Utility Specialist, etc.) are a plus.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in consulting or related fields.
Strong knowledge of Ontario tree species, urban forestry practices, and tree protection bylaws
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; Civil 3D and GIS experience is an asset
Ability to interpret and prepare technical drawings and reports
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site visits
