In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for employees and management, providing expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive HR support to employees and management on a range of HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
- Manage onboarding processes for new employees and ensure a smooth transition into the company.
- Support performance management processes, including conducting employee reviews and addressing performance issues.
- Resolve employee relations issues by investigating and providing guidance on workplace conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and maintain up-to-date HR documentation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and training programs.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar HR role within the construction or engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with employees at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
- Experience with HR software and systems is preferred.
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable; relevant certifications (e.g., CIPD) are a plus.
- Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
