Job Purpose

The Deployment SME will lead the configuration, validation, and rollout of a CLM solution, focusing on obligation management, compliance requirements, and integration with procurement and finance systems. The role ensures contracts are accurately managed, auditable, and aligned with industry regulations and best practices.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with implementation consultants to design, configure, and validate contract workflows including authoring, approvals, and obligation tracking.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Contracts, Legal, Supply Chain, and Finance to align system functionality with business processes.
  • Define and map contract data elements (e.g., CLINs, SLINs, deliverables, milestones) into finance structures.
  • Establish obligation-to-financial mapping rules to support billing, reporting, and compliance.
  • Validate and document system integration requirements across contract, procurement, and finance functions.
  • Embed regulatory requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS, ITAR, DCAA) into templates, clause libraries, workflows, and reporting.
  • Oversee clause library setup, metadata, and templates to support compliance and audit readiness.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) through test case preparation, workflow validation, and results documentation.
  • Partner with change management teams to deliver training materials for business users.
  • Provide post–go-live hypercare support to stabilize operations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in CLM deployments (configurations, workflows, clause libraries, obligation management).
  • Strong knowledge of federal and regulatory contracting requirements.
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Proven success integrating CLM platforms with ERP and finance systems.
  • Strong business analysis skills to translate contract and compliance requirements into system design.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with supplier compliance and catalog management.
  • Familiarity with ERP and finance platforms used in highly regulated environments.
  • Background in business process re-engineering (BPR) for contracts and compliance.
  • Exposure to AI tools and automation in CLM, ERP, or supply chain systems.
  • Knowledge of audit and reporting controls for government contracting.
