Position Summary

The Manufacturing Systems Analyst acts as the primary link between manufacturing operations and the ERP system (Epicor), ensuring that production processes are accurately depicted, automated, and optimized. By aligning workflows with system capabilities, this role enhances operational efficiency, promotes automation, and supports data-driven decision-making to support both daily operations and long-term continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process Mapping & Analysis: Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and IT teams to document current-state processes and identify integration points with Epicor ERP.
  2. ERP Integration & Configuration: Lead or support the configuration of Epicor modules (e.g., Production Planning, Inventory, Quality Management) to reflect manufacturing workflows.
  3.  Data Modeling & Workflow Design: Define data structures and process flows that align with both operational needs and ERP system capabilities.
  4.  Custom Development & Testing: Coordinate with IT and third-party vendors to develop custom integrations, dashboards, and reports. Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  5. Training & Documentation: Develop work instructions and training materials. Deliver role-based training to manufacturing staff to ensure smooth adoption.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for process refinement and automation.
  7. Change Management: Support change initiatives by communicating benefits, addressing resistance, and ensuring alignment with companywide best practices.
  8. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
  9. Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
  10. Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, ERP systems (preferably Epicor), or process integration roles.
  • Strong understanding of production workflows, data structures, and manufacturing KPls (e.g., cycle time, scrap rate, downtime).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • An acceptable combination of education and experience

 

Functional & Cognitive Requirements of Position

  • This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree.
  • Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 20 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs.
  • Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending.
  • Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities.
  • Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed.
  • This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions.
  • Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
