Description

 

Position: Intern

Team: Assigned Campus

Reports to: Assigned Campus Mentor

Status: Non-Exempt 20 hours/week 


This internship role provides an educational opportunity to learn and develop the intern for vocational ministry. The intern will develop skills, allowing for improvement of existing skills and the development of new skills and experiences through mentoring and hands-on opportunities to support the ministries at Hosanna.  The intern will gain experience defining and implementing ministry plans, event planning, and developing and supporting volunteers.

Requirements

 

  • Assist leadership and mentor as needed in the ministry.
  • Assist with weekly preparations as assigned for the ministry.
  • Provide research for ministry as assigned.
  • Assist the assigned ministry teams with written communication to program attendees, families, guests, etc.
  • Actively shadow mentor in all aspects of the assigned role, offering feedback to mentor as appropriate for learning opportunities.
  • Participate in short and long-range planning.
  • Serve as a leader for assigned groups as necessary.
  • Serve as a communicator for the ministry.
  • Support volunteer teams and leaders.
  • Actively participate at assigned programs and events.
  • Attend appropriate staff and planning meetings.
  • Participate in regular conversations with internship mentors.
  • Adhere to educational requirements set forth by the college/university as appropriate, working closely with the assigned supervisor. 
  • Responsible for recruiting, developing, equipping, encouraging and leading volunteers and/or team of volunteers where appropriate within the ministry.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree - in process
  • Ministry volunteer experience - preferred
  • Experience with Google Suite - preferred

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Schedule will include working evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required by ministry needs. This includes multiple Christmas Eve services and Easter.
  • Extensive standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Repetitive keyboard and mouse movement required.
  • May require lifting up to 25 lbs. 

A mature faith, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, commitment to the Teaching Statement and ministries of Hosanna, a signed Hosanna Leadership Covenant, and submission to Biblical authority. Hosanna should be considered your church home during the internship program. 


Salary Description
$18/hour - 20 hours/week
