We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our Quoting team as Quoting Specialist for printed circuit boards (PCBs). This position plays a key role in the early stages of the PCB production process by reviewing customer documentation and extracting critical manufacturing attributes for pricing analysis. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret customer-supplied PDF drawings to determine attributes for PCB quote pricing.
  • Open and analyze Gerber and/or ODB++ data to find any attributes not found in the pdf drawing or customer email
  • Determine the required number of lamination and via fill cycles based on via structures and customer drawing notes.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail using data  in various formats from a broad customer base.
  • Input attributes into the internal pricing system and add notes critical to pricing a job.
  • Become a trusted supplier of information to the Pricers who perform final pricing.  
  • Collaborate with other members of the Quoting team to clarify requirements, share insights, and ensure consistency in quoting practices.
  • Stay current with PCB manufacturing technologies and customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes is strongly preferred.
  • Experience reading technical drawings in any manufacturing or engineering industry is required.
  • Prior experience with Gerber and ODB++ data formats is a plus.
  • Candidates without direct PCB experience must demonstrate they have previously learned a manufacturing process by writing out the general process flow during the interview.
  • Strong computer literacy and comfort working in a computer-based environment for the full shift (cubicle setting).
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills; able to interact professionally with colleagues to resolve questions or gather missing information.

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Gerber and ODB++ viewers
  • Understanding quality requirements from drawings and customer RFQ documents
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering support environment.

Work Environment:

  • Office/cubicle setting with standard working hours.
  • Primarily computer-based work with frequent interaction via email, chat, or meetings.
