Description

Summary:

The Specialist of Supply Chain is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the completion of all art-related projects in a timely manner. This includes but is not limited to NBAs and Conversions. Responsibilities also include identifying, scoping, and implementing process improvement projects across the Supply Chain team. Teams in scope are involved in the development and management of new products. He or she will be the go-to for all interdepartmental communication on deadlines, status, etc. and will advise on correct processes when it comes to communication with customers, other departments, and prioritization.


Success in this position requires clear interdepartmental communication, great organizational and interpersonal skills, constant research for improvements, everyday tracking and follow-up on projects, the ability to meet established timelines, and a proactive attitude.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communication: The Specialist of Supply Chain will monitor all interdepartmental communication between the Graphics team and the rest of the company as well as all inquiries and responses to the customer. This team member will serve as the lead person for new projects and conversions and attend scoping meetings with the Manager Graphics
  • Establish milestones and deadlines for the Graphics team to meet customer’s deliverables
  • Ensure communication from the Graphics team meets customer expectations
  • Ensure timely customer approvals
  • Make sure quality communication takes place
  • Lead weekly Graphics meetings to follow-up on projects and discuss issues
  • Lead weekly meetings with customer-centric teams regarding project development and priorities
  • Lead biweekly meetings with PMO and Sales Support to discuss ongoing projects
  • Train other departments on essential art processes and project entry
  • Resolve competing priorities
  • Identify and ensure communication flows through proper channels/stakeholders
  • Coach the rest of the team on the correct way to follow-up with the customer and bridge gaps in communication.
  • Follow-up with other departments on project and task completion
  • Prioritizing Work & Execution: The Specialist of Supply Chain will oversee the timely execution of all projects to meet departmental deliverables.
  • Manage Graphics’ projects using tools, resources, reports, and KPIs
  • Monitor all projects completion in software & SAP – NBAs and Conversions
  • Coordinate and guide the Graphics team throughout all project phases
  • Create and deliver internal and external project reports
  • Prioritize and supervise project tasks
  • Manage the proofing process
  • Backup to customer artwork routing and annotating
  • Process Management: The Specialist of Supply Chain will oversee all Graphics processes and continue to strive for improvements and changes.
  • Identify process gaps and find solutions
  • Train and/or re-train team on all process changes. Document all process changes and improvements
  • Maintain internal spreadsheets, reports, and tables
  • Research best practices for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Reduce communication issues

Other Duties such as:

  • Release all finished good, shipper, and label workflows at the ATP stage to mark completion
  • Follow-up up on outstanding proofs with the printer and internal teams
  • Provide back-up for ATP process in SAP
  • Complete all Global and Internal conversion entry in SAP
  • Create and receive in orders for Sales Samples and Prepress
  • Request pricing on all printed packaging when completed
  • Back-up to SAP entry for new dielines
  • Correct Graphics system issues

Qualifications


Education Requirements:

Bachelor Degree required, Emphasis in Art, Business Administration, or Print Development is a plus

 

Experience Requirements:

2+ years Graphics and/or administrative experience in the health and beauty or related industry.  The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Graphics development and execution.

  • Understanding of the development process and the ability to effectively execute multiple projects from concept through commercialization
