JOB SUMMARY
To make a significant contribution to CWG’s portfolio of owned buildings and the wider estate.This role involves leading a team to ensure optimal performance, tenant satisfaction and adherence to our company standards. Responsible for overseeing the strategic, operational and financial aspects of the infrastructure portfolio for the Canary Wharf, Wood Wharf and Southbank Place estates. Management of service delivery and continuous improvement programme for the centralised FM helpdesk.
Lead the Quality Assurance Department, providing strategic oversight of non-financial audits across CWG departments. Strategic management of the logistics service to CWML managed buildings.
Salary up to £150,000
4 days in the office/ 1 day WFH
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement long-term strategies to deliver high standards across the identified area of operations.
- Oversee daily service delivery of planned and reactive maintenance, landscaping, logistics and estate cleaning.
- Set and manage budgets for Canary Wharf Estate, Wood Wharf Estate, Southbank Place and North Quay (future development). Analyse financial reports to ensure budget targets are met and implement cost control measures.
- Oversee the Infrastructure Asset Replacement Programme, ensuring that finance for major items is effectively managed across budget periods and that any reserve fund contingency is fit for purpose.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, representing CWM and forging contacts with key decision makers.
- Ensure that all managers are provided with the required staffing to maintain the standards and quality expected of the prestigious buildings at Canary Wharf. The emphasis is on customer focused service delivered by a dedicated team of property professionals who appreciate and understand our tenants’ business demands.
- Take overall responsibility for the effective operations of the centralised helpdesk, asset registers and staffing provision for all estate, buildings/floors/areas managed by CWM.
- Manage the existing CAFM system, ensuring that the required maintenance is completed as per the SFG20 and statutory guidelines.
- Effectively manage outsourced contracts with KPI’s and service level agreements. Conduct regular reviews of suppliers and oversee tender processes.
- Effectively manage areas transitioning from construction sites to public realm, including budget control, staffing resources and resolution of snagging issues.
- Strategic management of the logistics service delivery to CWML managed buildings, retail malls and courier rooms.
- Set up and manage a central store, ensuring that all equipment purchases are procured in line with budgets and benchmarked according to our defined procedures.
- Liaise with other CWG departments as necessary and appropriate and to promptly provide assistance and support as and when requested. In liaison with the Group Fire Safety Environment Manager to ensure that CWML complies with all appropriate and relevant statutory legislation and requirements.
- Management of the Southbank Place Estate, including key tenant relationships, budget oversight and close liaison with commercial, retail and residential stakeholders. Collaborate closely with the asset management team and joint venture partners.
- Lead the Quality Assurance Department, providing strategic oversight of non-financial audits across CWG departments and key suppliers.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- A proven experience of premises and environmental management of multi-occupied properties with both office and retail space is essential.
- A relevant professional or technical qualification is essential, together with membership of a relevant professional organisation.
- Previous experience of extensive staff management is essential, together with development and performance management.
- The incumbent must be numerate, possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to motivate/organise staff resources effectively and efficiently.
- Experience in financial and budgetary control/ management is essential.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects and write concise comprehensive reports.
