About the role
We are seeking an adaptable, self-motivated Workday expert to serve as the technical lead for the BAU operation of our Workday platform, providing general support in the maintenance and use of Workday by internal customers.
You will be responsible for the implementation and evolution of basic business processes required to ensure the effective use of the Workday platform and support any necessary configuration activity.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Serve as the primary administrator for Workday modules, overseeing ongoing configuration updates, security role maintenance and timely resolution of system issues.
Lead the Workday business as usual changes by collaborating closely with the stakeholders and external support vendors, while also providing training, guidance and technical support to end users.
Manage the Workday release cycles, conduct impact analysis and testing and support the implementation of new Workday features.
Design, build and maintain Workday reports, dashboards and analytics in partnership with business teams to ensure there are accurate data flows and effective reporting capabilities
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
Monitor and maintain Workday integrations, proactively identifying and resolving issues or escalating to AMS partners where needed.
Manage the Workday Success Plans relationship, triaging tickets, deciding what to escalate, and ensuring optimal use of external support while maintaining internal ownership.
Partner closely with the HR and Finance teams to assess proposed changes, understand upstream/downstream impacts, and recommend practical, system-aligned solutions.
About you
To be successful in this role you will:
Proven experience administering and configuring Workday modules with a solid understanding of HR processes.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot system issues and provide timely resolution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Skilled at partnering with HR, Payroll, Finance and cross-functional teams to assess proposed changes, understand impacts, and co-design solutions.
Takes ownership of issues from identification through to resolution, proactively flagging potential misalignments and driving continuous improvement.
Experience in coordinating software upgrades and change management activities.
Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
