What’s the role?
Join our fast-paced Consumer Finance Technology team as a Senior Engineer, where you'll design, build, test and maintain cutting-edge solutions that power our digital finance platforms. This hands-on role offers the chance to work closely with stakeholders, become a domain expert and contribute to major transformation programs that shape the future of customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop customer-facing user interfaces using React JS.
- Build and maintain microservices (APIs) using Spring Boot.
- Write clean, modular code using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
- Optimize end-to-end application performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Implement responsive, reusable, and scalable UI components.
- Apply strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ensure UI development meets accessibility standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with service owners to translate requirements into technical user stories.
What do I need?
Essential:
- Strong analytical and design skills with a problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins or Bamboo.
- Hands-on expertise in React JS, Redux, and Node JS.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and standards.
- Knowledge of API security and authentication (OAuth, JWT).
- Experience with Spring Boot and building RESTful APIs.
Desirable:
- Passion for automation and continuous improvement
- Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields
- Exposure to Kafka for event streaming
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk or AppDynamics
