Job Description:
Position: Housekeeper
Wage: $22.48
Schedule: Minimum availability - 2 days a week (days, afternoon, night) and alternate weekends.
Location: Victoria Hospital and University Hospital
Pre-employment Requirements:
Police Record Check - Final Copy
Complete Immunization Records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis A and B, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio, TB Skin Tests - Steps 1 and 2)
We are looking for an Environmental Service Attendant 1 to join our dynamic team. This position is a CASUAL Role. You will be offered is a great team environment, work/life balance and the ability to ensure customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do:
- As a valued member of our housekeeping team, you provide exceptional cleaning and sanitation services that contribute directly to patient safety and comfort. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Thoroughly cleaning rooms, washrooms, hallways, windows, carpets, and high-touch surfaces
- Maintaining cleanliness of light fixtures, furniture, vents, and mattresses
- Making and changing beds
- Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors
- Replenishing hygiene supplies
- Emptying garbage and biohazard containers
- Setting up furniture and performing minor repairs or reporting maintenance needs
- Adhering strictly to infection prevention, safety, and healthcare standards
- Working closely with fellow team members and hospital staff to ensure timely service
