Career Opportunities: Junior Analyst UK (2581)Requisition ID 2581 - Posted - Asset Management UK - London City - 0-3
We offer an opportunity you simply won’t find anywhere else. In less than six years, Mileway has grown into Europe’s leader in last mile logistics real estate, with a 550-plus team across twenty six offices in eleven countries.
Are you proactive, dynamic and driven, ready to take the next step in your real estate career? We are looking for a Junior Analyst to join us in London. You’ll be part of a young, dynamic team, working alongside colleagues from all over the world. You’ll report directly to the Senior Portfolio Analyst, as we build on our 60 million square foot UK portfolio and consolidate our position as the market leader in last mile real estate.
As Junior Analyst, you’ll have responsibilities on both a country and international level. As a local market specialist, you’ll focus on the UK market, providing country-level analytics support. You’ll also be collaborating closely with our Amsterdam-based Portfolio & Financial Management team on ad hoc and ongoing projects. In this part of your role, you’ll provide essential support and country-specific insights to the Portfolio & Financial Management team as they manage performance optimization and report Mileway’s performance to its shareholder.
Working at Mileway
We offer an opportunity you simply won’t find anywhere else. Only launched in 2019, Mileway has grown into Europe’s leader in last mile logistics real estate, with a 450-plus team across more than twenty offices in 11 countries. Mileway set out to be a different kind of real estate company from the beginning, like our cloud-based IT infrastructure and our team’s ability to flex across borders, combining the best of local knowledge with the pooled expertise of a pan-European business.
While we have already achieved a lot – our international, “can do” team, is only just getting started – we want to reshape our industry for the better. Our mission is to be the most customer and climate focused last mile real estate company in Europe, creating space for businesses to grow sustainably. To get there, we live our values: Drive, Trust, Grow, Together.
At Mileway, we believe company growth comes from supporting the growth of our combined capabilities. This is why we have our own inhouse learning & development programme, where personal, professional and business development go hand in hand - supporting you in your own bespoke career development. While your base will be the London office, we will give you flexibility to work some of the week from home. We’ll also equip you with a state-of-the-art technology package that helps you keep in touch, wherever you are.
What you will do:
- Provide analytical support to the Country Head, Regional Directors, and the Asset Management team on portfolio performance to ensure strategic execution of key workstreams.
- Contribute to recurring reporting such as tenancy schedules, occupancy forecasts, and leasing updates, and help explain country performance (e.g. variance to forecast and budget on operational KPIs, NOI, and net cashflows).
- Assist in performing in-depth asset- and portfolio-level analysis (lease, capex, NOI, etc.) and prepare high-quality reporting on past, current, and future portfolio performance.
- Assist (coordinate with local and central teams) on key strategic workstreams such as Annual Budgeting, and preparation of
- Investment Committee materials (acquisitions, disposals, leasing, capex, write-offs, and other strategic topics)
- Support and deliver the country input for the investor quarterly and ad-hoc reporting, in close collaboration with the
- Portfolio & Financial Management team
- Create a firm understanding of all systems, which are used to manage and track the portfolio’s performance (Yardi, Salesforce, Tableau, Excel, etc) and support with optimising systems and processes
- Assist in ad-hoc analysis
What you’ll bring
- Up to one year experience in a relevant area, ideally in private equity or asset management, and preferably with a focus on real estate
- Strong numerical and analytical skills and ability to work with complex and big data sets (Excel)
- A strong academic background in a relevant area, for example in Finance or Real Estate studies
- Strong organizational skills, you are able to work on multiple projects at the same time and you don’t miss deadlines
- Commercial mindset and great communication skills. You understand the numbers and you can explain to others what they mean
- Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’re motivated by short deadlines and can move quickly when timings are tight
- Your strong team attitude. You have a knack for building relationships across all areas within a fast-paced environment
- Your excellent problem-solving skills. You know how to solve problems and have the tenacity to get things done.
- Your head for data. You’ll be able to digitize and track new data, and take it all in your stride.
Our vision is to be the number one gateway to urban communities. To get there, we live our values: Drive, Trust, Grow, Together.
