The Gist… 

The Junior Product Manager supports product development and user support initiatives under the guidance of senior product management staff. This role focuses on executing defined tasks, learning product management methodologies, and contributing to the delivery of effective solutions for our clients. 


What Your Day Might Include… 

Requirements Gathering & Documentation 

  • Schedule and facilitate meetings with stakeholders to understand challenges, gather requirements, and identify user needs 
  • Assist with conducting user interviews to gather feedback, understand pain points, and identify feature requests 
  • Document requirements gathering sessions, capturing key decisions, action items, and technical specifications 
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation throughout the product development lifecycle 
  • Help audit existing documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current processes 

Agile Ceremony Facilitation 

  • Run daily standup meetings to track progress, identify blockers, and maintain team alignment 
  • Assist the Product Manager with backlog refinement sessions, including prioritizing user stories and clarifying requirements 
  • Facilitate retrospective meetings to gather team feedback and identify opportunities for process improvement 
  • Support sprint planning and other agile ceremonies as needed 

Project Tracking & Management 

  • Use in-house project tracker application to keep all projects up to date with status, timelines, and deliverables 
  • Monitor project progress and ensure accurate tracking of tasks, dependencies, and milestones 
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure all stakeholders have visibility into project status 
  • Flag risks, blockers, and issues to the Product Manager in a timely manner 

User Support & Quality Assurance 

  • Help with QA testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to ensure quality deliverables 
  • Document test cases, test results, and identified issues in the project tracking system 
  • Assist in creating user guides, templates, and reference materials for the team and end users 
  • Support the team in maintaining quality standards throughout the development process 

Team Collaboration & Communication 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, data engineers, customer experience analysts and stakeholders 
  • Participate in working sessions to support product planning and problem-solving 
  • Assist in creating templates and standardized processes to improve team efficiency 

 

Requirements

 You’ll Bring These Qualifications… 

  • 3 or more years of IT or customer experience  
  • Experience working on scrum teams supporting multiple customers or supporting multiple ongoing projects 
  • USCIS IT Environment experience preferred 
  • Scrum Master certification preferred
