There are 13 full-time nursing faculty lines, approximately 300 undergraduate students, and 15 graduate students. Nursing programs offered at TCNJ include: BSN, ABSN, RN to BSN, MSN, and Post-MSN certificate. Position Overview:
The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites applications for a full-time, permanent, Assistant/Associate Professor tenure-track position in the Department of Nursing beginning August 2026.
The ideal candidate seeks an academic career in a comprehensive college that emphasizes teaching and learning in a teacher-scholar model. The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will include effective teaching in the classroom, online, and clinical settings. Additional responsibilities include scholarship within the discipline, professional development, service on committees, and advising.
Qualifications:
Required:
Doctoral degree in nursing or related field.
Master's degree in nursing, and expertise in a clinical population area.
Clinical practice and teaching experience across the curriculum in undergraduate and/or graduate programs.
Strong track record of scholarship, including publications and presentations.
Preference given to faculty with certification as an Adult Gerontology/Nurse Practitioner; experience and education in specialty areas such as adult health/medical-surgical nursing, informatics, maternal child health and/or community/publish health nursing.
Preferred:
A minimum of one-year full-time faculty level teaching experience.
Online teaching experience.
A track record of scholarship.
