Job Summary:
The Director, Human Resources acts as a trusted business partner to leaders and drives HR strategies that support organizational performance, growth, and culture. In this highly collaborative role, the HR Director will partner closely with people leaders to align talent strategies with business objectives, deliver impactful people programs, and ensure a positive employee experience. As a key member of the HR leadership team, the HR Director will also act as a change agent and coach, influencing workforce decisions, organizational design, and leadership development initiatives across assigned business units.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner with leaders to understand business goals and translate them into people strategies.
- Serve as a consultative partner on org structure, workforce planning, succession planning, and change management.
- Align HR initiatives with long-term business priorities, using data and insights to drive decisions.
Employee Relations & Culture
- Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and values-driven culture.
- Proactively address employee concerns and provide coaching to leaders on conflict resolution, performance challenges, and engagement strategies.
- Lead sensitive investigations and support issue resolution in partnership with Legal teams as needed.
Talent & Performance Management
- Guide leaders through annual performance and goal-setting processes.
- Identify high-potential talent and support leadership development and internal mobility.
- Collaborate with HR Ops Manager to drive the ADP performance management module
Organizational Development & Change
- Support leaders through periods of change, including reorganizations and rapid growth.
- Lead organizational assessments and action planning to improve effectiveness and team health.
- Promote agility and innovation in business units through HR strategy.
HR Program Implementation
- Collaborate with HR team to roll out enterprise-wide programs in compensation, benefits, talent management, and engagement.
- Ensure consistency and compliance in HR practices while customizing programs for business team needs.
Metrics & Reporting
- Use data and analytics to track workforce trends, monitor employee engagement, and measure program effectiveness.
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership to influence strategy.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certifications preferred – SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience (preferably in Medical Device), including at least 3–5 years as an HRBP or HR leader supporting people leaders.
- Proven success in partnering with leaders on strategic HR matters.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and organizational development.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing through change and driving culture initiatives in complex environments.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced organizations.
- High emotional intelligence, business acumen, and a collaborative mindset.
