Position Summary
KemperSports LIVE is currently accepting applications for the position of Event Coordinator. This position will introduce a highly motivated individual to all aspects of athletic event management, communications, and brand activation. The Event Coordinator is responsible for supporting the KemperSports LIVE event team in all areas including hospitality, sponsorship coordination, participant communication and event operations for the 2026 McDonald’s All-American Games.
The position is based in KemperSports LIVE’s office (500 Skokie Blvd # 444, Northbrook, IL 60062). Hours are typically 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday but do involve some travel and extended hours based on event schedules. The position involves working in the office 2-4 days each week.
This position is a full-time, temporary position planned for January through April 2026. This role has potential to extend through September 2026 to assist with additional events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day contact with event participants leading up to the 2026 McDonald’s All American Games including registration, coordinating travel, and tracking data as needed by event partners
- Assist with all aspects of planning, setup, execution of information center management, and post-event recapping
- Assist with McDonald’s All-American Games event operations and logistics planning as needed
Education/Qualifications/Certifications
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, or a similar industry
- Prior internships or experience in the sporting event industry preferred. Must be a senior or have a degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency and interest in events, event operations and travel coordination
- Exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal
- Must be detail-oriented
- A strong work ethic
- Strong customer service skills over the telephone, in person, and through written communication
- Must be fluent with Office programs including Word and Excel
- Desktop publishing/design skills (i.e. Photoshop, PageMaker, Illustrator) a plus
- Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays
Position Requirements:

- Give and/or follow verbal and written instructions
- Retrieve, read and interpret information from technical sources
- Stand, sit, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 10 hours at a time
- Lift up to 30 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly
