Location: Sodus, New York Disclaimer: Reliant headquarters are located at 10 Benton Place, Sodus, New York. The position will allow for some remote work flexibility; however, an in-person presence at our headquarters is expected.
Schedule: Monday - Friday. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.
General Summary:
Reliant Credit union, ranked one of Rochester's top mid-sized workplaces eight years in a row, seeks an Mortgage Sales Manager to join our team.
The Mortgage Sales Manager oversees the MLO team, managing their pipelines and service delivery to members and vendors. Responsible for achieving defined production goals while balancing risk and service levels by promoting mortgage products .
As the Mortgage Sales Manager at Reliant, you will:
- Be responsible for meeting or exceeding individual production targets as well as sales goals for the department. Create a culture of success within the sales department.
- Work in conjunction with the Mortgage Lending Manager to identify, implement, and price new mortgage products to differentiate the Credit Union.
- Work with Reliant’s internal Marketing department to develop marketing strategies and promotions to help increase mortgage originations. Assists in the development of content for the department’s website and all other mortgage marketing initiatives.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for the Credit Union’s involvement in community events and participates in such events as appropriate to increase the Credit Union’s visibility and identify new mortgage business opportunities. This includes credit information sessions, business development activities, and networking events, as well as realtor and other mortgage industry events
- Recommends and implements member satisfaction initiatives designed to streamline the mortgage origination process. Identifies opportunities to educate members and prospective members on the mortgage application process.

Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of residential mortgages sales experience required.
- First mortgage underwriting, processing and closing experience desirable.
- Knowledge of Automated and manual underwriting of conventional mortgage loans
- Current Fannie Mae mortgage lending guidelines. Experience working with Fannie Mae’s technology applications Desktop Underwriter, Early Check, and Collateral Underwriter is preferred.
- Knowledge of FHA, VA and USDA mortgage lending guidelines in a wholesale environment
- Knowledge of Federal and state mortgage lending regulations including ATR/QM and TRID requirements.
- Excellent sales and service leadership skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Use of keyboard, monitor, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
- Communicate effectively in person and via telephone, video conferencing, email, and written documents.
- Access document equipment and files above and below waist levels.
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
