Your tasks at FFT

Oversee the standards and procedures required for accurate measurement of machined parts and tooling, ensuring compliance with project specifications.  Apply the necessary measurement standards and tolerances specific to each client, ensuring that all measurements are performed accurately and consistently.  Operate and maintain measurement equipment such as Laser Trackers, Faro Arms, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and Metro Scan, selecting the appropriate tools based on the specific needs of each activity.  Utilize Poliworks and Power Inspect software for data collection, analysis, and interpretation of dimensional reports, providing insights on measurement results. Measure and assess parts manufactured in FFT, ensuring adherence to client-specific tolerances and quality standards. Measure and adjust tooling as required, both on-site and at customer facilities, to ensure optimal functionality and precision. Develop and implement measurement programs for machined parts, tooling, and components based on client requirements and project specifications. Review measurement processes and results with clients and maintain strong client relationships. Organize and manage the supply of measurement tools and equipment, ensuring availability for all measurement activities. Act as a liaison between departments and service representatives, facilitating communication and collaboration to enhance measurement processes and project outcomes. Maintain accurate records of measurement activities, results, and any adjustments made, ensuring proper documentation for quality assurance purposes. Supervise and inspect repair and maintenance work to ensure that the most effective, efficient, and up-to-date maintenance and repair technology and practices are used in a safe and professional manner. Uphold FFT's safety and quality requirements by enforcing compliance with internal standards, and conducting regular quality checks on all aspects of the work.  This position will require 90% of domestic travel per year.

 

 

Your profile

  • Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metrology, Mechatronics Engineering, or other related field and three (3) years of experience in Metrology or other related occupation where required experience was gained.
  • Three (3) years Utilizing measuring equipment such as Laser Trackers, Faro Arms, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and Metro Scan;
  • Three (3) years Applying measurement principles, standards, and tolerances;
  • Three (3) years of Poliworks and Power Inspect for data analysis, reporting, and dimensional inspections;
  • Two (2) years Performing precise measurements and maintaining accurate data; and
  • Three (3) years of Knowledge in applying the guidelines of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and AS 9100.

Salary:$91,520-100,000 per year
