Haven is building the future of migraine care for the 40 million Americans who suffer from this debilitating neurological condition. Backed by Precursor Ventures and 1843 Capital, we're transforming how migraine is treated through an innovative combination of telemedicine, AI-enabled monitoring, and personalized care plans. Our early results are exceptional - our initial patient cohort is seeing a 70% improvement rate with days impacted by headache reduced by half.

The Opportunity:

As our first design hire beyond our Head of Service Experience and Design and CEO, who is also a designer, you'll have an outsized impact on both our technology and culture. You'll work collaboratively with our founders, engineering, operations, and clinical teams to deliver services that meaningfully improve people's lives. We're tackling a $112B market opportunity where only 8% of patients currently receive adequate care.

You'll Help Us:

Your primary focus will be designing and evolving our care delivery platform as we scale, working cross-functionally to dive into complex problems and translate patient and provider needs into elegant design solutions. As an early employee, you'll also help shape our design culture and product and service strategy, setting a high quality bar across all Haven experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and define the end-to-end experience and design of key areas of our service journey.

  • Work closely with clinicians, operations, and patients to deeply understand the people who touch our service, and rally the Haven team around the needs we are solving for.

  • Explore, iterate, test and deliver new product solutions and detailed UX and UI designs to continuously evolve and improve our care delivery platform.

  • Build our team processes, and culture— setting a positive tone within the Design team and across the company.

What We're Looking For:

  • Senior-to-lead level product/ UX/ Service Designer, 6+ years of experience delivering and collaborating cross-functionally at every stage of the product development process.

  • Portfolio that showcases your ability to dig into complex workflows, understand user needs and requirements, and distill them into delightfully simple design solutions.

  • Eye for detail, consistently demonstrating a high degree of craft and proficiency with visual communication design.

  • Strong product sense, comfortable with working without a formal product management function with the ability to balance speed vs. scalability tradeoffs.

  • Comfort with early-stage startup ambiguity, collaboration, and willingness to go beyond the boundaries of your role to achieve goals.

You’re likely a strong fit if you are highly collaborative, motivated by solving meaningful problems, get things done, are a good communicator and have empathy for yourself, our patients and all of your co-workers across the org. A background in healthcare or a regulated industry is helpful but not required.
