Annual Salary Range: $69,326.40 - $88,480.08
FLSA: Exempt - Not Overtime Eligible
The City contributes an amount equal to 5% of the base salary
General Summary:
Under general supervision, supports the department by performing clerical and administrative duties. Compiles and keeps records of the City's business transactions and office activities utilizing knowledge of systems or procedures.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform administrative projects for executive and/or management personnel by researching and compiling background data, maintaining records, filing, and department administrative duties.
- Participate and assist in preparation, development and administration of department budgets.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives, establish schedules and methods for office operations; implement policies and procedures.
- Evaluate operations and activities of assigned responsibilities; recommend improvements and modifications; prepare various reports on operations and activities.
- Provide follow up to assignments given to management and/or operations staff by executive and/or management staff; provide status reports to executive and/or management staff.
- Coordinate and make travel arrangements.
- Maintain appointment schedules and calendars.
- Arrange City meetings and conferences.
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers, other City employees and the public using principles of good customer service.
- Performs clerical duties including typing, proofing, editing, formatting, copying, faxing, and distributing a variety of documents from rough draft or verbal instruction.
- Perform receptionist duties, such as greeting and assisting customers in person, on the phone, or via e-mail.
- Receives, sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing inter-office and U.S. Mail.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with representatives of community organizations, state/local agencies, City management and staff, and the public.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Drive City vehicle.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; AA degree or higher may substitute for up to six (6) months of required experience.
- Two (2) years of general clerical experience in an office setting.
