Job Title: Header Assembler (Header Fabrication)

Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Header Assembly Personnel to join our team. This position is responsible for the fabrication of headers and distributor assemblies, which will be incorporated into the assembly of heat exchange coils. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  2. Read and understand engineering drawings and instructions.
  3. Read a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch.
  4. Solder and ensure quality standards are met.
  5. Read and understand bills of material.
  6. Contribute to team efforts by working with others and accomplishing related functions as needed.
  7. Complete any task assigned by the supervisor.
  8. Comply with government regulations, laws, company policies, and procedures.
  9. Work overtime as necessary and arrive on time for work.
  10. Charge time accurately in the attendance system to ensure proper labor distribution and payroll.
  11. Follow manufacturing instructions and complete job assignments on time with minimal supervision.
  12. Care for tools and equipment and notify maintenance of any issues.
  13. Clean work area as required.

Qualifications: 

  • Education & Experience: A high school level education is preferred to continue upward advancement within the company. The employee must be able to understand and follow directions from supervisors.
  • Skills: Effective communication skills, good listening abilities, ability to read and comprehend drawings and written instructions, basic math skills, ability to operate and monitor equipment, and good people skills for teamwork.
  • Certificates, Licenses, or Training: On-site training provided.

Interaction with Others:
Reports to Coil Shop Supervisor. Must be able to accurately receive, understand, and follow instructions. The employee must be able to work cooperatively with all employees of the team, demonstrate a spirit of cooperation, and engage in teamwork, while also being willing to ask and answer questions when necessary. 

Working Environment:
The work is performed in an industrial production area for a manufacturer of refrigeration and HVAC equipment. The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and high noise levels in some areas. Additionally, the employee may experience extreme temperatures in both winter and summer, with possible stress due to deadlines and product quality standards. Seasonal variations in working hours may occur based on production demands.
