HCF is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dentist to provide oral health and clinical services to our valued members at our Brookvale Dental Centre.
This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a registered general dentist passionate about delivering quality, patient-focused care in line with agreed targets and quality KPIs. You will work closely with a Dental Assistant to ensure outstanding clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver all aspects of dentistry and oral care to ensure the highest quality of care for HCF members
Provide clinical services efficiently and productively, meeting defined individual KPI targets (including productivity, clinical quality, and CPD requirements)
Maintain accurate and legible patient clinical records
Ensure compliance with all relevant AHPRA, Dental Board of Australia, radiology regulations, and HCF clinical/business policies
Promote preventive oral health care and reinforce the value of private health insurance
Support the Head of Dental Services and Dentist in Charge to represent HCF interests to dental regulators and associations
Work collaboratively with dental staff and assist in maintaining a coordinated approach to patient care
Key Tasks:
Proficiently provide clinical and preventive-oriented oral health care
Liaise with patients, dentists, and staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
Follow approved clinical delegation and direction from the Head of Dental Services, Dentist in Charge, and your mentor (if assigned)
Maintain a high level of clinical skills and complete any required accreditations for specialised dental practices
Ensure all clinical work is cost-effective and meets HCF member needs for both treatment and customer service
Essential Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry
Current registration as a general dentist in Australia
EPA Radiation Licence
Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and independently within the clinical surgery
Strong awareness of clinical risk management and personal clinical capabilities
Willingness to work across multiple Dental Centres if required
Preparedness to follow instructions from leadership, including the General Manager Dental, DCN Clinical Manager, Dentist in Charge, and mentor (if assigned)
Desirable Criteria:
Experience working with multicultural staff and diverse consumers
Knowledge and experience in current preventive treatment philosophies (e.g., Minimal Intervention Dentistry)
Understanding of private health insurance products
