The Role

We are currently seeking part-time and full-time Cooks to join our Staff Dining kitchen, Bara, at Crown Sydney. Bara is our staff dining production kitchen, playing a key role in supporting team members across the property. As a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen, Bara is responsible for preparing and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals daily. Operating with precision and consistency, the team at Bara ensures that all meals meet Crown’s standards of excellence, contributing to a positive and well-supported workplace experience for every employee.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals in a high-volume production kitchen environment.
  • Ensure all food is produced to Crown’s quality, safety, and presentation standards.
  • Follow established recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency.
  • Support daily kitchen operations including food preparation, storage, and cleanliness.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation in line with food safety regulations.
  • Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and minimising food waste.

No sponsorship considerations at Cook, Commis Chef or Chef de Partie levels.

About You

  • Demonstrates strong experience in high-volume or production kitchen environments.
  • A solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices.
  • Works efficiently under pressure while maintaining diligence.
  • Shows commitment to consistency and quality in every dish prepared.
  • Is a dependable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Communicates effectively and collaborates well with colleagues across all levels.
  • Flexible with availability, including weekends and public holidays, overnights shifts
