We are looking for an Account Director with experience working across the energy, climate and clean tech landscape; and/or a working knowledge of the UK public affairs and media environment, to join our growing Net-Zero Transition Practice.
The right candidate will have the chance to work with and learn from some of the best communications advisors in the business, at one of the UK’s most respected consultancies operating in the net-zero space.
Matthew Houlsby, our NZT Managing Director, and his team deliver best in class digital, media, and government relations expertise for companies and organisations operating in the UK’s growing net-zero transition economy.
We are looking for someone who can lead, and drive accounts forward with a motivation to succeed, help us manage our growing business and take it to the next level.
What we’re looking for
Communications expertise
- Experienced in UK public affairs, media relations and/or multi-channel communications campaigns.
- Understanding of how integrated communications (media, digital, creative) can deliver for companies working in the energy, climate and clean tech space.
- Strong grasp of current events, incl. the key political/policy and business news stories of the day relevant to the energy, climate and clean tech space.
- Ability to deploy your areas of specialisation working autonomously, often leading matrixed teams.
Client service
- Demonstrable experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Ability to deliver high quality work and precision to detail within tight timeframes.
- Creative thinker and problem solver to meet and exceed client expectations.
- Point of contact day-to-day for client activity, responding to client’s needs and supporting the wider account team.
Business development
- Bring fresh thinking and innovative approaches to our client offer and new business generation, contributing to the development of proposal and pitch decks, as well as attending networking events on a regular basis.
- Have a strong and relevant network within the energy, climate and clean tech public affairs and/or media space, with a desire to expand your contact base.
- Willingness to contribute and lead marketing initiatives focussed on promoting Madano’s Net-Zero Transition Practice and wider business.
People management
- Build relationships across the Net-Zero Transition Practice and wider company, and be an ambassador for Madano’s values.
- Manage members of the team, along with wider mentorship across the Net-Zero Transition Practice and wider business.
- Contributing to team recruitment efforts.
