The Administrative Assistant to the Chief Academic Officer (CAO) is a key partner in advancing the work of Academic Affairs. Serving as the primary point of contact for the office, this role ensures smooth communication, efficient scheduling, and exceptional support for faculty, staff, students, and governance committees. From coordinating high-level meetings and academic events to managing day-to-day operations, you’ll be the trusted resource who keeps the office running seamlessly while helping to create a welcoming and professional environment that supports the University’s academic mission.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Office of Academic Affairs, ensuring clear communication and outstanding customer service.

  • Manage the CAO’s complex calendar, scheduling meetings and coordinating logistics across two campuses.

  • Arrange travel itineraries and compile necessary documents for meetings.

  • Assist with financial oversight and budget tracking, including adjunct and overload payments.

  • Prepare correspondence, academic calendars, and official communications.

  • Coordinate major academic events such as the Student Research Symposium, Academic Excellence Banquet, commencement, and faculty receptions.

  • Support academic governance committees, faculty promotion/tenure processes, and related documentation.

  • Provide logistical support for meetings (e.g., catering, room reservations, IT needs, materials).

  • Maintain office systems, records, and standard operating procedures.

  • Collaborate across administrative units to support institutional projects and events.
