Duties

You will directly supervise a professional staff consisting of civilians, contractors, and military personnel.,You will develop long-range plans for IT security systems that anticipate, identify, evaluate, mitigate, and minimize risks associated with IT systems vulnerabilities.,You will review security incident response policies and identify the need for changes based on new security technologies or threats.,You will plan and coordinate security assessment activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews. 2)Providing guidance and technical direction in support of IT infrastructure, implementation and maintenance. 3) Providing formal or informal training ensuring users understand the relationships of the system and able to work with the system without interruption. 4) Testing and analyzing computer malfunctions to resolve physical operating problems. 5) Analyzing and applying information technology security principles, methods, and policies on network systems by assessing security events to determine impact and implement corrective actions. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Several vacancies may be filled.
