What to expect:
The Operations Manager (L4) is responsible for oversight of the Hub leadership team and the Hub’s overall operational performance. Additionally, the Operations Manager works collaboratively with the Assistant General Manager and General Manager to lead the Hub employees while promoting a safe, caring, dependable, and efficient work environment. The Operations Manager will ensure employee compliance with all safety and quality standards established by United Ground Express, United Airlines, and other regulatory authorities.
How you will make an impact:
- Leads the Hub team in achieving operational performance goals within a safe and caring environment
- Provides direction to the management team to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained while delivering a superior level of customer service
- Proactive in building and maintaining a positive work environment, demonstrating effective employee relations, and establishing collaborative relationships among the leadership team and the frontline employees
- Responsible for overseeing the completion of operational compliance, audits, financial reporting and budgeting
- Consistently models a calm and professional demeanor during periods of high volume or irregular operations
- Provides direction to achieve or exceed performance and quality standards, as well as coaches for correction and improvements when necessary
- Works with the Business Administration Manager to provide oversight on the scheduling of employees to ensure proper staffing levels to achieve or exceed performance goals and monitors changes in staffing levels
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure all employees are properly trained and understand their assigned duties
- Ensures that all employees in the work environment operate in a safe, caring, dependable and efficient manner at all times
- Provides oversight to leadership teams in that all injuries, incidents, accidents, and/or customer service issues are properly documented and corrected
- Complies with all safety, security, and customer service quality standards and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you will bring:
Required Experience, Qualifications & Skills:
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience managing a large and dynamic operation preferably in an airline or airline partner environment
- Experience managing management employees
- Ability to manage airport operations independently
- Demonstrates a calm and professional demeanor during periods of high volume or irregular operations
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced operational environment
- Analytical thinking, goal-directed leadership, and service-oriented performance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and drive for excellence
- Organization and planning skills
- Must possess and maintain a valid US state driver's license. (Suspended, expired, revoked or denied licenses are not valid.)
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coach others
- Flexible schedule availability to provide oversight to a 24 hour per day 7 days per week operation including weekends and holidays
- MS Office applications
- The successful candidate is expected to live in the Denver area. Relocation assistance is available.
