JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:
To provide component and system technical support to customers as well as departments within our own organization. Work directly with our sales force and customers to apply components and design systems. Work with inside sales and manufacturing to coordinate projects through our manufacturing facility. Assist in the formal quoting process.
Expected to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution and solid cross-functional collaborative results-oriented work. Work will take place in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and new opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Subject matter expert for at least one product or technology specialties and emerging in others
- Ability to identify existing challenges in systems and products independently
- Ability to architect complex technical solutions
- Increasing external customer-facing skills, support sales with technical knowledge
- Set the vision, direction, and culture of their teams by managing individual and team performance expectations and goals, monitoring real time service levels and schedule adherence, and holding their team accountable.
- Work closely with other Team leads to create a culture where accountability, transparency and collaboration are the norm.
- Responsible for PTO management, project allocation, and timecard approvals
- Ensure ISO documentation is followed and implemented where necessary.
- Manage the quote schedule and drawing schedule for selected area of engineering.
- Formulate ideas to improve the database for streamlined efficiency of tasks.
- Fulfill day-to-day engineering responsibilities, including working on projects, sales calls, shop support, & service support.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Working Hours/Environment
- Office hours average 40 per week
- Work performed in an indoor office setting.

- Computer, copier, fax/scanner, phone, and other typical office equipment
Travel
- Minimal to no travel required.
Requirements
- Application and sizing of hydraulic components.
- System/circuit design using AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of electronic controls and programming for hydraulic systems.
- Experience with data acquisition systems.
- Troubleshooting of components and systems.
- Experience in customer service or related field is desirable.
- A 5+ years hydraulic or electric product design required
