Summary:
The Dishwasher’s primary responsibility is the sanitary processing of used kitchen and service ware following Department of Health guidelines and directives. At times duties may be expanded to include order receiving, food and supply storage, transfer of supplies. Returns clean and dried kitchen ware to their storage location, and maintains those areas in an orderly condition. Assists Back of House wherever needed. Regularly performs the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following and other duties as assigned.
Sanitizes and organizes all kitchen-wares, front of the house items and kitchen.
Scrapes food from dirty dishes, empties used beverage glasses, rinses used cutlery, trays and kitchen tools. Places them in appropriate racks and conveys to dishwashing machine.
Washes pots, pans, and trays in Service sinks, using commercial soaps, proper rinses and sanitizer.
Restocks clean dishes, flatware, beverageware, pots, pans, bowls, and food storage bins to proper storage places.
Maintains dish machine, ensuring it is functioning properly and is filled with appropriate dishwashing supplies
Removes kitchen and dishpit trash to disposal area bins, and replaces bags in refuse containers
Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans
Maintains order in outside trash area
Breaks down cardboard boxes for recycling
Squeegees and mops dish area floors
Assists in sweeping and mopping kitchen floors as needed, and with daily cleaning check list.
May be asked to assist in basic food prep as directed and under supervision of Chef, Sous Chef
Transfers food supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, as requested.
Assist in receiving deliveries: checking in orders and storing received goods.
Maintains all health codes and sanitation requirements.
While the restaurant may close to guests during inclement weather, work responsibilities and operational tasks will continue as scheduled.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- A desire to pursue a culinary career path
Working knowledge of kitchen equipment desired but not required: we will train, as this is an entry level position
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to calculate fractions and multiples, using kitchen tools of liquid/dry measure and weight.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Computer Skills:
None required
Other Qualifications:
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work effectively at altitude of 10,000 ft or above.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
You must be able to ski or snowboard at intermediate level or above, and have your own equipment. You will have to pass an on-snow skills assessment before you will be able to work. Employment is contingent on passing this assessment.
The pay rate for this position is $18.50/hr + tips
