About the role:

 As part of the integration following the acquisition of Britvic by the Carlsberg Group, a newly created EHS structure has been implemented which supports the strategic alignment across all functions within Carlsberg Britvic UK. This new structure has created 3 new roles to support the effective execution at site level while fostering a proactive safety culture through visible leadership and impactful coaching, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement, and enabling focused expertise in key areas—all underpinned by strong cross-functional collaboration.

 

If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for an EHS Specialist Reporting to the EHS Manager, this role will play a key part of our succuss journey and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the EHS Manager in coordinating health, safety, and environmental programs across logistics, customer operations, sales, and affiliated brands
  • Promote a proactive safety culture focused on risk reduction, legal compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Act as the key EHS contact for assigned areas, engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Ensure implementation of Group and UK H&S standards and support achievement of ISO certifications (14001, 45001, 50001)
  • Lead hazard assessments, safety inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action planning
  • Manage EHS reporting systems, compliance software, and training documentation in partnership with site teams
  • Deliver performance reports aligned with regulatory and corporate requirements, supporting Employer Liability claims where needed
  • Coach operational managers to embed safety behaviours and drive accountability
  • Support cross-functional projects and ensure consistent EHS implementation across diverse business functions
  • Travel regularly across UK sites to conduct audits, training, and emergency response planning

 

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • NEBOSH Certificate (minimum) or equivalent qualification in Safety, Health, and Environmental Management
  • 2–7 years’ EHS experience in manufacturing, logistics, operations, or supply chain environments
  • Familiarity with ISO standards (14001, 45001, 50001, 9001) and audit procedures
  • Skilled in using data tools like Excel, Power BI, and EHS software for reporting and analysis
  • Strong background in risk assessments, incident investigations, and legal compliance
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver plans effectively
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Detail-oriented, with a structured and proactive approach to safety and improvement
