About the Role

Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Service Center Representative to join the team in our Bank Operations department. As a Service Center Representative, you will deliver a World Class Experience by answering inbound calls in a professional and efficient manner and assisting other team members with their calls as needed. This position will research and resolve customers’ inquiries and maintenance requests regarding personal and business accounts, Bank products, and other banking services. You will be located in Goleta, CA with a fully on-site work schedule.

What We’re Looking For 

  • High school diploma, or equivalent work experience, required
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent banking experience, including: branch operations, new accounts, back-office bank operations, and/or customer service required
  • 1 year of call center experience preferred
  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and customer service skills
  • Ability to have in-depth dialogues and explanations with customers that can be of sensitive and confidential nature

Your Responsibilities

The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide all callers with excellent customer service by utilizing available technology and software applications for problem analysis, problem solving, and reliable resolution of questions, requests, and/or concerns
  • Respond to inquiries and maintenance requests regarding Bank accounts, products, services, and online banking in a prompt, positive, and professional manner
  • Continually look for opportunities to go above and beyond customer expectations and refer appropriate Bank products and services as needed
  • Process, complete, and record all Service Center daily tasks and customer transactions in a timely and accurate manner while following departmental policies and procedures
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding customer service resolution and follow-up
