Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to focus on admissions, discharges, and transfers (ADT) at the Woltz Hospice Home. In addition to managing patient transitions, this RN will support other functions including providing direct nursing care, assisting with high-acuity needs, and conducting proactive patient rounding.
Schedule
- Three (3) 12-hour shifts
- Daytime hours: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Every third weekend rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Complete patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Support patient care through direct nursing and comfort measures
- Assist with high-acuity care needs as they arise
- Conduct proactive rounding to anticipate patient and family needs
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or compact state)
- Hospice or palliative care experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Compassionate approach with patients and families
