The Pediatric Movement Center, a community -focused physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy outpatient clinic with locations in Frederick and Hagerstown, is seeking a full-time Community Wellness Manager for our Frederick location.

The Community Wellness Manager is responsible for the overall success of the Frederick CW division, including the individual successes of its team members, as well as the overall goals of the division as a whole.  The Wellness Manager is a dual-role position whose tasks and responsibilities are to be performed in conjunction with those of another role within the division, most often paired with KidMotion (gymnastics) instructor or a Therapy Tech role.  The manager will work under the guidance of and report to the Senior Manager of the CW division, and to the Director of Community Wellness.

Due to the nature of the position involving direct client contact, the manager’s regular schedule will be worked primarily on site in the Frederick clinic. Some weekend hours may be required.

Extensive training through the CW programs and positions is required to perform this role.  Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as demonstrated qualities and characteristics of leadership.  

Preferred prior experience with gymnastics, or adaptive recreation and special needs individuals, and childcare is a plus for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support to the Frederick CW staff, including supervisors, leads, therapy techs, KidMotion instructors, daycare staff, and weekend party instructors.
  • Oversee scheduling for classes, birthday parties, special events, physical health and wellness programs, and adaptive programs.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including:
    • Reviewing and approving timecards
    • Scheduling weekend staff
    • Billing KidMotion clients
    • Conducting bi-annual employee reviews
    • Training or facilitating training for staff
    • Attending community events as a PMC representative
    • Assisting with the development of new programming ideas
    • Meeting weekly with direct reports
    • Participating in Advisory Council meetings
    • Mentoring new hires
    • Tracking and reporting program statistics
    • Responding to staff and client inquiries via phone, email, and EMR systems
  • Contribute to PMC’s mission of providing high-quality, community-focused wellness programs.
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical demands include moderate physical effort,  standing, walking, occasional lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, manual dexterity and mobility.

Position: Full Time

Compensation:  Salary range- $20.00 to $29.00/ hr.
