About the Role

The Senior Demand Planner reports through the supply chain function supporting the team in forecasting wholesale customer demand, inventory management, analytics, reporting, and process improvements. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about product, customers, data analysis with a relentless curiosity for insights that will optimize revenue, margin, and inventory productivity.  This is a highly integrated position, interfacing with virtually every department, communication and collaboration is critical for success.    

 

You’ll Make a Difference By

  • Creating and managing demand forecasts and aligning inventory plans in assigned areas of wholesale apparel business.
  • Delivering results across revenue, margin, and inventory company goals with a sharp focus on sales to stock, fill rates, assortment productivity, forecast accuracy, and inventory turns. 
  • Generating and aligning weekly/monthly demand and supply recommendations, focused on business drivers with cross functional partners.
  • Evolving and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
  • Assembling, analyzing, recommending the demand/sales plans (examples:   statistical forecasts, historical sales, market trends, product trends, seasonality, marketplace insights, customer POS, capacity plans, inventory levels).  
  • Creating and continuously improving forecasting techniques, methods (statistical models and software tools), and processes to scale the planning processes.  
  • Leading demand and inventory planning meetings with merchandising, marketplace, sourcing teams delivering alignment across business drivers that produce revenue, margin, and inventory goals.  
  • Preparing, reporting, and communicating forecast and inventory measurements to management (forecast accuracy, inventory plan vs. targets).
  • Other duties as assigned

 

About You

  • 5-7 years of wholesale experience required and background in retail planning
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Finance preferred, with 5-7 years related experience
  • Proficient in enterprise-level software applications such as Cognos, Tableau, SAP/AFS and Vanguard or other advanced demand and inventory planning
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and experience with large data sets
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and computer skills
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, passion to learn and ability to maintain a positive attitude
  • Collaboration between multiple cross-functional partners, comfortable in sharing your recommendation with confidence while being open to all perspectives.
  • Comfortable with taking initiative and is flexible and adaptive to changing priorities

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 per year.
