JOB SUMMARY

Creates a high-quality guest service atmosphere, graciously greeting and catering to the needs of Plateau room guests, assisting staff as needed to ensure guest satisfaction and generating repeat business.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensures customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient, and friendly service, placing the customer’s service experience first.
  2. Greets guests and escorts them to their tables, rotating seating evenly between stations.
  3. Initiates services for guests, identifies servers, provides specific set-up including helping to move tables and chairs, and initiates beverage and menu service.
  4. Accepts reservations over the phone promptly and efficiently, accurately recording guests’ names and confirming dates and times in a gracious, friendly manner.
  5. Accepts and maintains an organized waiting list, accurately recording guest names and promptly announcing when the table is ready.
  6. Assists servers and supervisor as needed, including providing beverages, taking or delivering orders, and bussing tables.
  7. Maintains host/hostess area in a clean, neat, and organized manner, including wiping counters, clearing floor area, keeping menus organized and presentable, replenishing inventory needs as appropriate, and overall organized appearance.
  8. Must complete daily assigned side work.
  9. Remains knowledgeable of menu and/or specials, and WRC activities and amenities to provide accurate guest information.
  10. Takes an active role in providing guest service and assists whenever needed to ensure a smooth flow of service.
  11. Handles guest inquiries or service concerns promptly and professionally, deferring disputes/conflicts to the supervisor.
  12. Promotes internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior with co-workers.
  13. Complies with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
  14. Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests. Promptly removes hazards and reports concerns to supervisor.
  15. Ensures that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
  16. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. One (1) year experience in a position that requires exceptional customer service skills.
  2. Must possess or be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certification and an OLCC card within 30 days of employment.
  3. Physically fit-able to stand and/or walk for long periods in the smoky environment; able to perform repetitive motion of arms, wrists, hand, and fingers; and able to bend, lift, and maneuver items up to 50lbs.
  4. Effective communication skills-good auditory and visual acuity, and ability to understand and respond verbally in English.
  5. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
  6. Requires a High-Security Gaming License.
  7. Must be at least 21 years of age.
