Our North American team is growing, and we are seeking a detail-oriented compliance professional to join us, with a primary focus on prevailing wage and apprenticeship program compliance.
Position Summary:
The Prevailing Wage Admin will oversee compliance-driven processes related to prevailing wage projects and apprenticeship program requirements. This role ensures certified payroll is processed accurately, apprenticeship records remain compliant with Department of Labor standards, and FairWind remains aligned with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a compliance-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prevailing Wage Compliance (Primary Focus – ~80% of Role):
Collect and review timekeeping and labor classification data for prevailing wage projects.
Prepare and submit certified payroll reports to clients and/or relevant agencies.
Verify project wage determinations, fringe benefits, and worker classifications for accuracy.
Maintain organized, up-to-date compliance records for all prevailing wage projects.
Coordinate with payroll and project managers to resolve reporting errors or discrepancies.
Monitor changes to prevailing wage laws (Davis-Bacon Act and state-specific requirements) and communicate updates to leadership.
Apprenticeship Program Compliance:
Maintain accurate apprentice records in collaboration with Airstreams Renewables.
Manage apprentice onboarding documentation, including applications and 671 forms.
Track and report apprentice work hours quarterly.
Ensure compliance with Department of Labor apprenticeship requirements.
General HR Administration (~20% of Role):
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS and personnel files.
Assist with employment verifications, employee status updates, and HR compliance reports.
Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding compliance and HR processes.
Provide administrative support during internal or external HR audits.

Requirements
2+ years of HR, compliance, or administrative experience; prevailing wage or certified payroll processing strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Davis-Bacon Act, state prevailing wage laws, and apprenticeship program compliance a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with HRIS or timekeeping systems.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
