Logistics Field Manager
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-6pm (varies)
Major Responsibilities:
- Carrier management leading the distribution center as the subject matter expert, utilizing a transportation management solution to execute multiple modes of transportation to support the end-to-end logistics of the supply chain.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring the execution of the service levels.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that optimize delivery timelines, reduce cost, and improve service reliability.
- Leverages data and performance metrics to identify and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute contingency plans as needed to maintain service levels.
- First line of response for the Distribution Center managing the logistics, taking ownership, solving problems, and proactive communication (internal and external) with stakeholders.
- Works cross-functionally with the operations team and carrier partners to drive the efficient flow of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Aligns with Operations teams and carrier partners to ensure success and that all paperwork/documentation supports a seamless and efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers
- Safety, Security, and Compliance: Ensures that the team and Distribution Center meet all Department of Transportation and Company requirements. Identifies and resolves issues related to hazardous material incidents and accident investigations. Performs safety reporting, training, and compliance.
- Manage Logistics budget and drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service levels.
- Monitor logistics KPI: DOTIF, cost to service, and other logistical performance metrics, and proactively implement corrective actions where needed.
- Manages people, processes, budgets, performance management, compliance activities, and associate development as required by the job.

Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Leadership, communication, and change management skills. Ability to communicate and influence at management level.
- Functional knowledge of all modes of transportation
- Proficiency in logistics-related software systems.
- Strong critical thinking, organization, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to review and interpret financial models as they relate to budgets and strategic planning.
- Understanding of regulatory issues (DOT compliance, hazmat, etc.).
- Capability to influence decision-making and instill credibility through meeting strategic and tactical objectives, deadlines, and budgets.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience managing transportation, inbound logistics, warehousing; procurement, small package/parcel

Salary Range: $80,000-95,000 plus bonus
