Position Overview
The Inventory & Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the scheduling, receiving, storage, and distribution of materials to ensure efficient warehouse operations and accurate inventory management. This role ensures materials are available on time to support production schedules, while maintaining a safe, organized, and well-managed warehouse environment.
Requirements
Inbound & Receiving
· Schedule and coordinate incoming shipments in alignment with purchasing and production requirements.
· Oversee receiving processes, including unloading, inspection, documentation and system entry of goods.
· Resolve discrepancies with suppliers and purchasing as needed.
Inventory Management
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records in the ERP or inventory system.
· Conduct cycle counts and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.
· Monitor stock levels and consumption patterns to anticipate shortages and prevent stock-outs.
· Implement and manage inventory control policies and procedures.
Warehousing Operations
· Organize and optimize warehouse layout for safe and efficient storage, retrieval, and material flow.
· Ensure proper labeling, storage conditions, and location tracking for all items.
· Uphold safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards across the warehouse.
Production Support
· Coordinate timely and accurate delivery of materials to production teams.
· Develop and oversee material kitting and staging processes to align with production schedules.
· Work closely with production to resolve material-related issues quickly and effectively.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
· Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff, ensuring strong performance and engagement.
· Monitor and improve warehouse processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and service.
· Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and production teams to improve overall supply chain performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· 5+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain roles.
· Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
· Proficiency with inventory management systems/ERP software.
· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Effective leadership and team management abilities.
· Knowledge of safety, compliance, and quality standards in warehousing.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work in varying conditions, including heat, humidity, and exposure to typical greenhouse environments (smells, noise, allergens).
