Position: Director, Support Services

Location: La Crosse, WI – Main Campus
Areas of Responsibility: Environmental Services, Food Service, Security, Laundry

Are you a dynamic leader passionate about operational excellence and people-centered service? We’re seeking a Director of Support Services to lead and elevate our essential service areas—Food Services, Laundry, Security & Fire Safety, and Environmental Services—at our La Crosse main campus.

Position Summary:

In collaboration with hospital and clinic operations leaders, the Director provides strategic leadership and administrative direction to drive continuous improvement across support services. This role is pivotal in enhancing clinical and financial outcomes, ensuring top-tier patient satisfaction, and fostering a culture that attracts and retains exceptional talent.

You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams (clinicians, directors, managers, and supervisors) to implement proactive safety and security measures for both patients and staff. You’ll also oversee regulatory compliance, policy development, and performance standards across your areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop operational strategies for food service, laundry, security/fire safety, and environmental services.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies.

  • Promote a culture of safety, service excellence, and employee engagement.

  • Be a visible and approachable leader—someone who knows the team and is known by the team.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years in a healthcare management position.

  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and drive operational success.

  • Strong interpersonal skills—a true “people person” who thrives on connection and visibility.
