Job Description:
Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Faculty Affairs in the School of Public Health (SPH), the Faculty Administration Specialist supports all operations within the School’s Office of Faculty Affairs. The position will be expected to develop a general knowledge with regard to all of the major functions of the office. The Specialist provides leadership in key areas including faculty recruitment and retention, appointments and promotions, professional development programming, event planning, postdoctoral affairs, data management and reporting, and visa processing. The role requires sound judgment in resolving operational challenges, interpreting policies, and adjusting procedures as circumstances demand. Working toward established goals and priorities, the Specialist contributes to both the strategic planning and the successful execution of Faculty Affairs actions that advance the School’s mission.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of expertise and education with a minimum of two (2) to four (4)years’ relevant experience. Experience in an academic setting or faculty affairs administration is highly preferred.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Good command of English language and grammar necessary
Initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Effective interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills.
Computer proficiency
Hybrid Eligible.
