Job Description:
An important aspect of patient unmet need includes helping them start and stay on their medicine for the best chance at treatment success. The Patient Engagement and Customer Solutions (PECS) organization serves patients during their treatment journey with Johnson & Johnson therapies to help overcome challenges to fulfillment, on-boarding, and adherence.
Summary:
The Director, PECS Marketing & Branding Strategy will join the Supplier Management & Operations Excellence (SMOx) team within PECS and lead the strategy and end-to-end implementation, adherence, and adoption of compliant J&J withMe messaging in market across all Therapeutic Area (TA) patient support programs (PSP). The Director will lead a team of 2 direct reports that collectively will guide the development and maintenance of content strategy and message libraries for each TA to leverage best practices and drive consistency and clarity of core program messaging and representation. The Director will also ensure the development and maintenance of program materials are effective and compliant from an HCC, Legal, and corporate perspective, while always maintaining a patient and customer experience point of view to ensure ease of readability, understanding, and interaction to achieve the intended purpose of the program and the resource.
Key Responsibilities:
Branding Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive J&J withMe branding strategies for PECS, aimed at enhancing brand awareness and engagement. Ensure consistent application across the PECS portfolio of TA PSPs and adherence to enterprise J&J withMe branding guidelines.
J&J withMe Message Libraries: Develop, maintain, and refine messaging frameworks to ensure consistency, clarity, and strategic alignment with patient needs and brand positioning. Oversee the continuous improvement, digitization, and distribution of approved message libraries, adapting responsively to evolving brand and PECS messaging strategies while upholding the highest standards of compliance.
PECS CAC Processes: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate and optimize PECS Copy Approval Committee (CAC) and iMedical Review (iMR) platform initiatives & subject matter expertise, ensuring messaging is both compliant and impactful for targeted stakeholders. Foster and maintain strong working relationships between the PECS CAC and Brand CAC teams to support seamless integration of PSP messaging into all customer-facing materials.
Content Excellence Transformation (CET): Serve as the subject matter expert and primary contact for the ongoing evolution of content and material review via CET. Partner with CET leaders, Content Hub/WPP agency representatives, and PECS leadership to represent PECS priorities and process considerations effectively. Provide education to PECS stakeholders to drive adoption of CET process improvements and technology.
Launch Excellence: Manage the end-to-end CAC review process to support successful launches of new patient support programs, ensuring coordinated execution and consistency among all stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Legal, HCC, Regulatory, Privacy, PECS Patient Experience, PECS Solutions, and brand/commercial leadership teams to ensure all strategies are compliant, innovative, and deliver measurable impact. Lead organizational education activities & workstreams to elevate standards of quality, consistency, and compliance across PECS to ultimately deliver better CAC review experiences & more efficient approvals of impactful PSP resources.
Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators and monitor outcomes to continuously improve engagement strategies, identify opportunities within CAC/CET processes for increased organizational efficiency, and enhance launch effectiveness for all materials and resources.
Qualifications / Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. Postgraduate qualification, MBA, or other graduate degree or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of dynamic experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
A minimum of 5 years demonstrated in pre-launch & launch activities, in-line marketing, market access, marketing support, or sales management/training experience implementing marketing strategy is required.
An ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time, lead teams, gain alignment and drive decision-making is required.
Prior experience in multiple therapeutic areas (Oncology, Immunology, Neuroscience) is preferred.
Experience navigating Medicare, Medicaid, Open Enrollment, Low Income Subsidy, Patient Assistance Programs/Goods At No Cost, Government Exclusion, and other patient support program considerations is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success in shaping patient support programs design, aligning Legal and Compliance requirements, and delivering clear messaging to Patient and HCP stakeholders is preferred.
An ability to shape and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills, ability to master complexity and to integrate insights into strategies and actions.
Strong executive, verbal, and written communication skills are required, along with demonstrated presentation skills.
This position is based in Titusville, NJ and/or Horsham, PA and requires up to 10% domestic travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$146,000-$251,850Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees and/or eligible dependents are eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
