Summary

Stellar Industries is a rapidly growing industry leader in metalized ceramics manufacturing. We are a major supplier of innovative, high-quality parts to the Aerospace, Photonics, Telecommunications, and Commercial industries. TRUMPF Photonics recently acquired the company and has significant growth goals. The Manufacturing Operator Level II will be responsible for various manufacturing processes on production parts, machine setup, and machine operations. The functions adhere to the pre-established process sheets and procedures that identify the manufacturing practices specific to each type of manufactured part to ensure and maintain lot integrity.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Little supervision, work is reviewed
  • Qualified in 2-5 core manufacturing processes
  • Exercises discretion within the area of responsibility
  • Recommends actions and alternatives to the supervisor and others
  • Review blueprints with a limited amount of programming of machines
  • Inspect parts dimensionally against customer requirements as found in the router
  • Follow all safety protocols
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area
  • Cross-train as requested in other areas of the company

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience.  Must be able to work in a standing or sitting position for up to 10 hours.  Must be able to wear a lab coat, a spittle mask, boot covers, and gloves while working.  The position requires working with chemicals, measuring devices, and microscopes.  Individuals must have previous experience working in a similar environment.  Must be able to work with little supervision and demonstrate extremely high levels of precision and accuracy.

Examples of core manufacturing functions include oxidation, Chemical cleaning, Plating, Photolithography, and Etch/Strip.  

Education

Associate degree or equivalent experience.
