Description: Title I Paraprofessional - part time

Terms of Employment:  10 Month Employee - temporary for the school year

Reports to:  Building Principal

Salary:  Current paraprofessional salary schedule

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be Highly Qualified – An associate degree (60 college credits) or passed the ParaPro assessment test and high school transcripts (GED) to obtain paraprofessional certification
Strong content knowledge of elementary education

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide coverage as needed.
Assists with planning and implementing instructional and intervention strategies for elementary students in reading and or math.
Uses developmentally appropriate strategies, materials, and technologies, as directed, to accomplish instructional objectives.
Establishes and maintains rapport with learners.
Uses effective strategies for the management of behavior.
Follows written plans, seeking clarification as needed.
Collects and provides objective, accurate data and information to professionals, as appropriate.
Maintains updated records and clerical responsibilities as assigned.
Additional duties as assigned.

Standard Requirements:

Favorable Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check for the candidate who is offered employment
Tuberculin Test and physical
Mandatory Direct Deposit of paycheck
