Job Description:
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating various machines such as drill lines, anglematic, brake presses, auerosheers, burn tables, duplicators, paranas, and transfer tables. You must read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to carefully set up, select, position, secure, and operate production machinery under established procedures and guidelines. The Machine Operator will accurately and timely adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specifications.
Hours: Monday - Friday 5pm-5am. Saturday 5pm-10pm.
We do offer a $2 per hour shift premium.
Essential Functions:
- Inspects materials before, during, and after processing to ensure quality control of the finished product
- Read and interpret written instructions from work orders and cut-sheets
- Ensure machines are operating properly and safely
- Provides basic maintenance to the machine(s) to properly operate
- Prepare materials to be processed
- Operate overhead cranes
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six months experience operating various types of production machinery
- Knowledge and ability to distinguish different types of materials.
- Knowledge of metal and basic shop fabrication equipment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to withstand pressure and adapt to changes
- Ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent prolonged standing, be able to move objects
- Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
