As a Library Outreach Assistant, you will be a dedicated and enthusiastic member of our team, working 4 hours every Saturday morning in Bodmin Library (9.30-1.30).
Your role:
- Engage with, and support customers in person, by phone, email, and social media.
- Promote and support reading for pleasure and well-being.
- Assist in organising events and activities both within the library and out in the local community.
You’ll need to stay calm in challenging situations, manage multiple tasks, and juggle priorities. Confidence in helping customers access digital information is essential.

This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

Working Pattern:
Usual working pattern will be: Saturday morning in Bodmin Library (9.30-1.30), however the hours may vary and on occasion there may be a requirement to work in Callington Library.
